Product Description:
3M 44 Electrical Tape is a low-halogen polyester film reinforced with a thermosetting fabric and a pressure-sensitive adhesive.
The tape must be coated on one side with the pressure-sensitive adhesive, which will not require heat, moisture, or other pre- or post-application preparation steps. The adhesive coating must be smooth and uniform, free from lumps and roughness. There will be no separation marks between adjacent layers of the roll. The tape must perform at temperatures of 262.0°F without losing its physical or electrical properties.
Applications:
The product is used for windings and transformers and in windings for stripping, anchoring, and insulation, and for protecting starter cables, conductors, terminal strips, insulation paper, end rings, and connections in motors and transformers.
