3M™ Water Contact Indicator Tape 5557 is a tape used as an indicator of water contact. This tape can change color from white to red when in direct contact with water.
The top film layer is printable by thermal transfer printing, flexible and screen printing, improving ink reception.
The top film layer provides protection from dirt and moisture during handling.
The base paper layer has high water transport and absorption capacity.
Acrylic adhesives provide increased bond strength to most surfaces including energy plastic surfaces such as polypropylene and powder coatings.
Saves building materials without adhesives and complies with UL-969.
Application in water exposure indicator.
